Utility Box Art Project

Local Artists Vanessa Stafford and Arturo Thomae have been selected to install artwork on three utility boxes in the City. Installation started with a painting of the City Plaza Park on the box at Freedom Blvd. and Martinelli St.and work on the other boxes is expected to begin within the next two weeks.

Facade Improvement Project

The latest building to take advantage of the City’s Facade Improvement Program is located at 10 W. Fifth Street. Improvements included painting, landscaping, new signage and roof screening of unsightly mechanical equipment.

On Monday, February 7, 2011, Joar Opheim – founder and CEO of Nordic Naturals, hosted a ribbon cutting and tour in commemoration of the brand new $8.2 million, 118,000-square-foot headquarters opening.
